Seven: Poetry – A Terrible Fate

By Emmanuel Williams

September 11, 2026

Tis a terrible fate

To be pushed around

Stuck down on your face

Or perish flying down

Tis terrible really

Life without ambition

The leaves never grow on such trees

Or on men that run from their mission-

Pathology leading to death

Illness, the mind unwell

Shock from frostbite, horrible breath

Or when others can’t read my scribble

Loss of limb, arrested or drunken

‘Most terrible fate lives unspoken
