Silk, Velvet, and Bone on Holiday

Dearest Lestat,

I come to you as I have before. Bottom of the gut, likely manic, completely overwhelmed…

Of late there has been a hate, a sickness, illness, a lack of forgiveness stirring in my bones. I have no idea when I last took the strongest of my medicines, the antipsychotic!

On the morrow, I will finally have the time to pick up the refills (plural) I have had little time to get to.

The struggle is real, and it’s midterm time with a concert to perform, and a desk job to humor with all my pretty little might.

I love you, my friend.

I have nothing to do but anticipate the end of this semester which will be my last desk duty I may ever undertake. I’ve grown so sick of it.

I’m so over it.

My lover, lovely as ever, suffers my stress in the way I’ve become less interested in prolonged conversations. On the inside I can’t wait till I am alone for a moment. Just long enough to collect my thoughts and peruse a book, write a tale, a poem, or cook a well planned meal.

Such struggle is real. And it will not wait!

“It needs no side, to justify, layin’ down your LIFE! WAAAAAAAARRRR!!!”

-“War” by Linkin Park

I will crawl out of this cage! I will bend my back only so much further before the ever so excruciating snap! I have snapped before, it will not happen again!

I have far more to lose than my precious peace, solitude, or success.

Until December 7th, I will smile, I will be kind, and I will survive.

This is Michael Jackson’s Pepsi commercial.

…and I’m not afraid of going White!

Ever your servant,

Emmanuel Williams
