The time of peace are hard fought victories

War is easy, it’s in our nature to fight

But there is a time for peace,

And a time for war

There will always be war in other nations

But there will also be a lesser known one

The war at home is our biggest fear

And our most common enemy

The war abroad is fought with guns,

Politics, maneuvering, and treasuries

The war at home, fought with emotion,

Power dynamics, and disobedience

But you’ll find soldiers in every war

On this green earth

Whether at home or abroad

A hero is required

And we are those heroes

Those who will protect

Those who will not rest

Who withstand the tests

But if we don’t know we’re at war

We won’t know when to rise

Won’t know when it’s time

Or how much is on the line

But no hero survives alone

It takes a team

To protect a home

To get us home

If we do it alone

Then we alone

Are to blame

When we lose

Each path that we choose

Will take more than we’ve ever had

Each bridge we cross

Will exact a cost

But we can cross it together

And bear no burden alone

For alone we are not

Because a unit we are
